    Ciao a tutti! avreiu bisogno di una mano per dei problemi di statistica, sono molto semplici ma avrei bisogno giusto di un input per capire quale direzione prendere per la risoluzione. Vi posto i problemi qui sotto, grazie a tutti in anticipo 🙂

    1. We have analysed sponge S. domuncula population at one habitat according the colour.
    Red-orange 22, orange 12, yellow 2, blue-3. After 2 years we found red-orange 30, orange 14, yellow-0,
    blue -5.
    a)what is the parameter of our interest?
    b) what kind of varaible is that?
    c) provide a graphical presentation!
    d) how would you test whether the polulation colour distribution change?

    2. We measured enzyme X activity (N =10) by measuring fluorescence units. The results are: 44, 37, 38,
    49, 56, 33, 47, 52, 48, 45.
    a)Calculate: mean, median and standard deviation!
    b) presnt graphically the result!

    3. How many mussel specimen we have to sample if for experiment we need 50 specimens longer than
    50 mm. Natural population have distribution described as Mean = 68.3 mm, SD = 12.3!

    4. We have measured pollutant X concentration in sediment and sediment toxicity for 25 sediment
    samples. The obtained correlation beteen pollutant X concentration in sediment and sediment toxicity
    was r = 0.635. Is significantly relevant correlation at p = 0.05. Explain!
    5. You want to determine whether compund X inhibits enzyme Y in mussel digestive gland. How would
    you do that? Describe experimental design and statistical testing.
